Is Facebook Charging Users $100 To ‘Message’ Mark Zuckerberg?
According to a report on Mashable, Facebook will be charging users for sending a message to its CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
For a ‘small’ sum of US$100, the social network will offer to keep your message out of his ‘Other’ inbox, which is known to be the “dumping ground” for unimportant messages.
However, this ‘special fee’ only applies if you’re currently not one of Zuckerberg’s 16 million followers.
“Keen Facebook observers will recognize this as a variant on the $1 pay-to-message plan that the social network has been experimenting with for months,” Mashable reports. “The company indicated at the time that it would be experimenting for other prices, so it’s possible we’re starting to see the fruits of that.”
