Posters Of Music & Film Icons, Composed Of Hand-Written Lyrics & Scripts
Los Angeles-based artist Mike Matola has turned the former childhood chore of copying lines into an impressive typographic art form—by hand-writing lyrics and film scripts, he was able to compose minimalistic portraits of music and film icons.
The faces of legendary personalities—such as The Beatles—are revealed through the black spaces that Matola leaves when writing the words.
The process is a tedious one—for instance, he copied out the complete lyrics of seven Beatles albums to compose the four portraits of the individual band members.
Scroll down to see the artist hard at work on his latest poster of Pulp Fiction.
