Disorienting Illusions Created With Black & White GIFs
Mexican photographer Nydia Lilian has created a series of disorienting illusions using black and white GIFs.
Titled ‘bad dreams’, she presents each GIF by flashing it between its actual color, which is in black and white, and its ‘negative’ colors.
The alternating images give the illusion that the pictures are being zoomed in—creating a sense of disorientation and discomfort to the viewer.
