Amazing Photorealistic Painted Street Scenes Of New York, Chicago & Other Cities
By Dorothy Tan, 01 Feb 2013
British photographer Nathan Walsh produces astonishingly photorealistic paintings of cityscapes that reflect the bustling complexity of modern urban centers.
Using complex perspective drawings and simple mathematical ratios, Walsh’s scientific approach enables him to flawlessly re-create the visual quality of photographs.
“Drawing allows me to make human pictorial decisions instead of relying on the mechanical eye of a camera or software package. This process is open ended and changes from one painting to the next,” Walsh said.
