A Delightful Surprise Light Performance At New York’s Grand Central Station

To celebrate the Grand Central Terminal’s 100th birthday, the people behind New York City-based prank collective Improv Everywhere recently staged a surprise light show at the iconic landmark.
Armed with LED flashlights that could display white, red and green light, 135 participants appeared suddenly on the catwalks behind the grand windows on the station’s west side—which are usually only open to employees—and performed a delightful light show for the commuters and tourists below them.
Switching their flashlights to the required color on cue, the participants only had one rehearsal before the actual performance.
