Whimsical Maps Of New York & Berlin Made With Pinpricks
Melbourne-based Ukrainian artist Miso has created a couple of unique maps that are made by pinpricks.
By punching countless holes on paper with a pin, these maps created depict whimsical representations of real locations—one of them shows a Brooklyn neighborhood hidden on the moon, while the other is of Berlin as a spiderweb.
There is a tactile quality to the maps that makes you want to reach out and touch them—these definitely give a new meaning to “pinning maps”.
