Artist Creates Thought-Provoking, 3D Paper Sculptures Of City Maps
UK-based artist Matthew Picton uses strips of paper to create three-dimensional, true-to-life maps of cities around the world.
Each sculpture is made with a material that reflects the city it is depicting—for instance, pages from Hunter S Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is used for the Las Vegas piece, while his map of Jerusalem is made of paper strips from religious texts like the Bible.
