Neon Love Messages Take Over Billboards In New York City’s Times Square

In the month of February, 15 gigantic billboards in New York City’s Times Square will be taken over by neon, love-themed messages for a few minutes each night.

Shortly before midnight, the video art installation—featuring six messages from British artist Tracey Emin’s well-known neon series—comes live to spread the spirit of love.

The latest installment of public art initiative “Midnight Moment”, Emin’s soul-bearing confessions—including “I promise to love you” and “Love is what you want”—bring thought-provoking art to the heart of the bustling metropolis.

If you find yourself in Times Square close to midnight this month, keep a look out for these heartstring-tugging messages of love.
