Bookshelf Fashioned Out Of Fallen Trees
Bookshelves of character usually go through processing and designing before they end up in loving homes.
But in Cazenovia, New York, a bookshelf 'sprung up' from the logs of large fallen trees, at the hand of a thoughtful artist, David Harper.
Harper's installation, 'STACKS', is built on the theme, "these trees shall be my books", which originates from William Shakespeare's "As You Like It".
Encapsulating the transformation from living trees to a 'store of knowledge', Harper hopes his installation can 'immortalize' the love of knowledge, and also pay homage to the living things that make our quest of knowledge, possible.
