Google Launches Evernote Competitor, ‘Google Keep’

After announcing the closing of Google Reader’s doors, tech giant Google has introduced its latest app, entitled ‘Google Keep’.

Similar to Evernote, the free app lets users jot down notes and store them on the go.

In addition to written notes, Keep also lets users add photos, create lists, record and transcribe voice notes.

The notes stored can be accessible from both mobile devices and desktop, as it’s synced across all platforms running the app.

Keep also organizes users’ notes according to importance, and gives each category a color.

If users are looking for a particular note, the app also offers a search function.

Currently, Google Keep is only available for devices running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above, and can be downloaded from Google Play.

Do you think Google is giving Evernote a run for its money?
