Book Jackets Transform Into Parcel Packaging
By Anthea Quay, 28 Mar 2013
Australian publisher Random House teamed up with creative agency BMF to launch a campaign that lets people share second-hand books to those who can’t afford to buy their own.
The project entitled ‘Mailbooks For Good’ features books printed with specially-designed dust jackets that turn into parcel packagings for the books they encompass.
Rather than leaving the books lying on the bookshelf, when readers finished the books, they simply follow the instructions to turn the covers inside out for the books to become pre-paid and pre-addressed parcels.
Once dropped into mailboxes, the books would be sent to charity for distribution to those in need—letting readers share the opportunity to learn and discover.
