Majestic & Artistic Photographs Of The Rarely Seen Antarctic
Italian photographer Enzo Barracco has shot some spectacular photographs of icebergs, which he took on his self-funded trip to the Antarctic.
Barracco is known for his fashion and portrait work, but after reading a book by British explorer Ernest Shackleton, he was inspired to take a trip there himself.
"Normally only 'science people' go there," says Barracco. "I wanted to photograph the landscape in an artistic way."
The result of Barracco’s month-long trip in the Antarctic region, where he took most of his pictures on a tiny rubber boat, are these majestic shots of icebergs—they were on show at the Royal Geographical Society earlier this year, as well as in Paris.
