‘Harm Less’ Weapons Created With The Stems, Leaves & Petals of Plants

Melbourne-based artist Sonia Rentsch, whom we have previous featured over here, has created a new series, entitled “Harm Less”, that will have you re-thinking your idea of weapons.

Using organic materials like the stems, petals and leaves of plants, Rentsch re-creates dangerous weapons like guns and grenades—only now, they are completely harmless.

By juxtaposing the life-giving nature of flora against the destructive nature of modern weapons, Rentsch seeks to persuade the viewer to think about the fragility of life in an increasingly violent world.
