Bizarre Japanese Candy That Is Instantly Created From A Powder Mixture
By Loke Shi Ying, 25 May 2013
The Huffington Post has recently featured Popin Cookin, a unique type of candy from Japan that you purchase as a powder mixture, and mix with water to create unique concoctions.
Popin Cookin is a candy, as well as an activity packed into a neat box. Each set contains everything you need to recreate miniature candy versions of waffles, sushi, ice cream, hamburgers, and other items. It is similar to molecular gastronomy, except that is still just simply candy.
This whimsical candy is incredibly popular on the Internet, with hundreds of YouTube users posting videos of unboxing and making the candy.
The videos are strange, somehow cute, and incredibly addictive to watch.
