Kansas City Students Develop The World's First Social Media-Powered Car

In Kansas City, US, students have designed an interactive car that is powered not by fuel, but by social media.
Students from the Minddrive Program have converted a vintage Volkswagen Karmann Ghia into an electric car that is powered by posts from social media networks, including shares and posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
If there is insufficient social media buzz, the car will automatically cut off the power to the electric engine.
Minddrive students and mentors are preparing to drive the car from Kansas City to Washington, DC, on a Social Fuel Tour. The tour aims to create awareness and lobby policy-makers for more hands-on education.
