Digital Collages of Lonely Figures In Surreal Cardboard Towns
Italian artist Francesco Romoli creates poignant scenes of people wandering through cities of abandoned cardboard buildings.
Titled “Imaginary Towns”, Romoli’s scenes are collages of his own photos with added lighting to create a certain otherwordly quality within them.
In each work of art, the figures wander as though lost, wistfully searching for something.
These scenes also have a narrative quality within them, as though they are part of a larger story.
