Anti-Smoking Campaign Encourages Smokers To Exchange Cigarettes For Condoms
A Brazilian action group called Alegria gera Saúde or 'Joy generates Health', launched an interesting anti-smoking campaign involving the exchange of cigarettes for condoms.
In a blue box printed with an appropriate message, stands a person that waits inside all day for cigarettes. All a smoker has to do is hand over their cigarette through a slot and it will automatically be exchanged for a strip of condoms. Both parties do not have to come face to face—saving both parties from potentially awkward moments.
The philosophy behind the campaign? Well, simply that there are 'healthier' activities than smoking, that one can partake in—including having safe sex with someone.
Moreover, it drives home the message that 'safe smoking'—unlike protected sex—doesn't exist.
