Spectacular Video Captures 2 Rare & Beautiful Natural Phenomena At Once
Beautiful natural phenomena, such as the rainbow, are often rare as they only occur under specific conditions—their serendipitous nature makes them a delight to witness.
Photographer Maciej Winiarczyk was lucky enough to capture not one, but two, rare celestial events during a recent time-lapse shoot in Caithness, Scotland.
Having set out to shoot noctilucent clouds—the highest clouds in the world that are made entirely of ice crystals—he was surprised with a stunning show of the Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) that played out at the same time.
The resulting time-lapse video is a wonderful display of the beauty that Mother Earth can conjure up when one least expects it—watch it below and be awed.
