Swedish illustrator Beatrice Lorén—known as “bealor” on DeviantArt—has imagined how the Disney princesses would look like if they were dressed in what was fashionable in the years when their respective films came out.
For instance, Snow White—the first Disney princess whose film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs came out in 1937—wears a demure midi-length shirt-dress that reflects the style of the ’30s.
According to the illustrator, she “went for what that [was] accurate for the time and what she thinks the girls would personally wear”—you may not agree with her choices but these are just her personal takes on the fashion during the years of the films’ debuts.
In total, she has drawn 11 princesses in their time-relevant real-world clothes—click on the image above for a closer look at each princess.
