Lomography’s New Plastic Lenses Turn Digital Shooters Into Toy Cameras
By Dorothy Tan, 18 Oct 2013
Lomography has just released the “Experimental Lens Kit”, which consists of three plastic lenses—standard 24mm lens, wide-angle 12mm lens and fisheye lens—that would work with all micro 4/3 system digital cameras.
Blurring the line between analog and digital photography, these attachable lenses would give users the creative, Instagram-like effects of toy cameras on their digital cameras.
The star feature of the kit is a mechanical shutter that takes multiple exposure shots—according to Lomography, it is “the first lens kit in the world which allows you to take real, optical multiple exposure snapshots using digital cameras”.
Each of these lenses also comes with a color filter slot and color gel filters that allow users to produce photographs that are soaked in rich, saturated hues.
