In NYC, Famous 8 Rooms-In-1 Transforming Micro-Home Go On Sale For US$1M
“LifeEdited 1”, an ingenious transforming micro-apartment in New York City was in the limelight last year for its incredible ability to pack eight rooms into a mere 420 square feet.
Created by Graham Hill, founder of design studio LifeEdited, to show that one can “live large in small spaces”, this smart home is filled with brilliant space-efficient features like sliding walls, hidden storage and multi-tasking furniture.
The high-functioning apartment is made possible with crowd-sourced design ideas that are brought to life by a group of specialized manufacturers and custom installers.
After proving that it is indeed possible to live comfortably—and even accommodate large dinner parties and overnight guests—in a tiny apartment, Hill has recently put his masterpiece on the market for US$995,000.
While property prices are notoriously high in Manhattan, that is probably still a considerable sum for such a small apartment—would you pay that price to live in the LifeEdited 1?
