Milo Moire is a German artist who has an unconventional way of painting—instead of using a paintbrush, she literally gives birth to her artwork by pushing paint-filled eggs out from her vagina.

Titled ‘PlopEgg’, Moire performed the demonstration at the opening of the 2014 Art Cologne fair.

Standing on an elevated platform, she ‘gives birth’ to the eggs and drops them on a canvas underneath her, creating an abstract painting.

After all the eggs have been pushed out, she folds the canvas, creating a “symmetrically reflected picture”.

According to Moire, her performance embodies the “symbolic strength of the casual and the creative power of the femininity”.
