Hand-Drawn Type, Transparent Animals And Other Logo Design Trends Of 2014
Online logo database LogoLounge is a great research resource for logo designers, who can also upload their own logos onto the platform. Last week, it published its 2014 trend report for logo design, which showcases some of the most popular techniques that are being used in the field currently.
According to the website, this report is meant to “to share with you what [they] see, not to make suggestions for what you should do”—it is hoped that it would “enable designers to map out the trajectory of specific styles, concepts, techniques and solutions”.
This year, while some featured trends are not new—for instance, minimalist flat design and hand-drawn type—others such as transparent animals and simple symbolic shapes in one color could be seen as more refreshing variations of previous trends.
