Designer Shows How To Create A Logo, Gives Useful Advice
By Valerie Chang, 12 Dec 2014
Designer Aaron Draplin accepted a logo design challenge issued by online learning company lynda.com, and shows us his design process.
The following video has a description that reads: “Most logos aren’t designed in 15 minutes, but most designers aren’t Aaron Draplin.”
Tasked with creating a logo design for a fictional construction company, Draplin demonstrates his deft skills in bringing his pencil-and-paper sketches to life.
He said, “It’s one thing to design that logo and have it just floating on this PDF…(but) rarely will you see it that way. The way you’re going to see it is on some Instagram, in a corner, or a guy’s business card, or embroidered on a sweatshirt. That’s where you’re going to see it.”
Besides his insightful glimpse into the logo design process, Draplin also dispenses useful advice for creatives.
