Woman Builds A Tiny 186-Square-Foot House To Avoid Expensive Housing Prices
By Yoon Sann Wong, 22 Apr 2015
Staying in a city with the second most unaffordable housing market in the world poses a problem for many in Vancouver, Canada.
Fifty-year-old Isabella Mori has, however, found her solution to this problem. She had a custom-designed tiny house built last year.
According to Tree Hugger, construction of the 186-square-foot residence set her back approximately CAD $39,000 (USD $30,995).
While many question the level of comfort tiny houses can provide, Mori’s house enjoys a wealth of natural sunlight, sports a modern façade, and comes equipped with a built-in computer fan to eradicate the foul smell from her cats’ litter box.
When you live in such a small area, space-saving designs are a godsend. It’s no surprise that the house comes with storage compartments beneath the floor and pullout bed.
Check out pictures of her new house below. If you aren’t already a supporter of the tiny house movement, these images could possibly have you converted.
