Incredibly Realistic Images Of Floating Feathers Made With Countless Nude Bodies
By Aqila Xiao Qi, 04 May 2015
In his latest art series, titled ‘Aves’, New York-based visual artist Angelo Musco makes use of thousands of real nude bodies to construct digital illusions of floating feathers.
In preparation for these amazing pieces, Musco had gathered real-life models and photographed them in specific poses. Tweaking the colors and shadows using Photoshop, Musco manipulates the bodies into tiny, enjoined figures that form the strands on a feather.
In line with his vision, the series draws attention to the contrast between the level of detail and complexity behind these deceptively simple images.
The series is currently on exhibition at Lyons Weir Gallery in New York City, a space that specializes in showcasing works that reflect conceptual realism.
Watch the video below to get a better idea of how these images were made.
