Flickr’s Impressive New Redesign Makes It Easy To Share, Store, Find Photos
By Yap Yen, 11 May 2015
Yahoo's recently announced update to Flickr has been two years in the making. Flickr 4.0 features a total redesign on every platform, using backend algorithms and impressive UI to allow users to upload, access, share and search any photo, no matter which device they use.
With up to 1 terabyte of space for photos, Flickr is encouraging people to back up all their photos. Their Flickr app scans your devices and desktop and automatically uploads all your photos to the web, with default private settings.
The new visual machine learning algorithm is made to look through your photos and identify its contents. With the ‘Magic View’, your photos will be arranged to display photos of landscapes, people, birds and many other categories. Flickr has also made it easy to select, tag, move, delete, download and share images, with an emphasis on improving user experience.
