A Travel Blog That Matches Famous TV & Movie Scenes With Real World Locations

‘Fangirl Quest’ is a travel blog with an interesting twist.
As suggested by its name, four ‘fangirls’—Tiia Öhman, Satu Walden, Johanna Ruuskanen and Essi Suomela—decided to travel to filming locations of Hollywood movies and popular TV shows. Upon reaching their destinations, they would then ‘sceneframe’ what they saw—a term they’ve coined for comparing movie scenes from their tablets and phones with the real world locations.
They wrote: “Visiting filming locations is the perfect way to see places you wouldn’t necessarily find in ordinary travel guides. Sure, Barafundle Bay is pretty well known by all the locals, but would you visit a beach in the middle of nowhere if you weren’t there because of a film called Third Star? How about Puzzlewood in Wales or Lake Powell in Utah, USA?”
