NIVEA’s UV-Sensitive Dolls Teach Children The Importance of Applying Sunscreen

NIVEA and FCB Brazil have developed a fun and creative solution to communicate the importance of applying sunscreen to children, by using UV-sensitive dolls.
The brand surprised families on Rio De Janeiro’s main beaches by distributing these dolls to the kids.
The toys would turn red as a tomato–mimicking sunburnt skin–when exposed to sunlight without sunscreen. However, once sunscreen is applied, their skin would return to normal.
