An Ingenious System That Helps The Visually-Impaired ‘See’ Color
By Aqila Xiao Qi, 26 Jun 2015
The Feelipa Color Code, created by Portuguese product designer, Filipa Nogueira Pires, is a touch-based system built from three basic geometric shapes that correspond with the primary colors, to help the visually-impaired learn to “see” color.
The overall system is composed of 24 different shapes and color palettes, each developed from a simple combination of shapes and colors. This enables users to identify a full spectrum of colors to its matching shapes, unleashing their potential to interact with our colorful world more deeply than ever.
