Vibrant, Honest Illustrated Posters Tackle The Issue Of Fat Shaming
By Melissa Goh, 05 Oct 2015
Oregon-based artist Rachele Cateyes has created a brilliant series of illustrated posters titled ‘Glorifying Obesity’.
Cateyes’ illustrations feature common phrases that had been used by people to describe her, while others are an expression of her thoughts on fat-shaming, like “I’m fat, but I’m not depriving myself…”, which are beautified with vibrant designs and patterns.
She told Huffington Post, “I am a firm believer that being attractive and healthy doesn't determine your worth,” and everyone deserves the right to be treated fairly, even if they are riddled with health problems related to being fat.
