A big part of the magic that makes up the beloved animated movies created by famed Japanese filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki, is the attentiveness to food, and how they are often detailed in composition and made to look delicious and realistic.
Buzzfeed has sourced for a series of recipes that come close to recreating the yummy dishes found in some of Miyazaki’s films, such as the Herring pot pie in Kiki’s Delivery Service, bento boxes in My Neighbour Totoro and the salmon in béchamel sauce in Porco Rosso.
