Artist Creates Mosaic Artwork With Over 1,000 Used Bottles Of Nail Polish
By Yap Yen, 11 Mar 2016
Lithuanian artist Agne Kišonaite thinks out of the box to create lovely artwork. In this instance, her latest piece is made with bottles of used nail polish.
The graphics, visual and interior design graduate from the Vilnius Academy of Arts was painting her nails when she realized how playful the colors looked when seen through the thick glass bottles they came in. She then turned this idea into an mosaic art piece called ‘Glass Blowing’.
From getting rid of excess nail polish to positioning everything and scraping the labels off each bottle, the resulting art piece used 1969 nail polish bottles.
