Watch: How Pixar Created The Most Complex Character On ‘Finding Dory’

When Finding Nemo was released 13 years ago, ‘Hank’ the octopus was a character that the Pixar studio could only dream of bringing to life.
Thanks to technological advances, Pixar is now able to include this flexible marine creature in its follow-up film Finding Dory. Recreating an octopus’s movements for the animation was a tall order–it took the production team two years to make one particular scene.
CNET senior editor Brian Tong sat down with Pixar’s character supervisor Jeremie Talbot to get an inside look at how the studio created ‘Hank’ the octopus.
