Watch: What Happens When You Pour Sulfuric Acid On A McDonald’s Big Mac

YouTube channel LET’S MELT THIS, known for running quirky science experiments that liquefy various objects including a toothbrush and Styrofoam cup, is back with a McDonald’s Big Mac and sulfuric acid for its latest tryout.
If you thought that the cheeseburger would disintegrate into a pile of mush, this video recording will prove otherwise.
The team explains in the video description:
“Turns out the sulfuric acid actually cooked the outside of the big mac bun until it was rock hard…as if we [had] left it in the oven [for too] long. Of course when we got to the center of the big mac it began to melt away on contact. We time lapsed this video over a 30-minute period so [that you can] view the entire process quicker.”
