John Lewis Unveils 2016 Christmas Ad That’s Touching, Cute And Funny, All In One

Every Christmas, UK retail brand John Lewis unveils an ad that more often than not tugs at the heartstrings of its audience.
Last year it produced the heartwarming ‘Man on the Moon’ that spoke about friendship and loneliness. This festive season, John Lewis has partnered with The Wildlife Trusts to help protect and raise awareness about restoring the natural habitats of local wildlife.
In line with the collaboration, the brand unveils its 2016 Christmas ad featuring a handful of adorable critters including badgers, hedgehogs, foxes and the main personality ‘Buster the Boxer’.
The funny and cute spot, set to the pleasing soundtrack One Day I’ll Fly Away, follows the story of a young girl named ‘Bridget’ who loves to bounce. When her parents buy her a trampoline for Christmas, ‘Bridget’ and her family discover that she isn’t the only one who loves to reach new heights.
The commercial is part of its campaign that includes the opportunity for customers to discover ‘Buster’s Garden’ through virtual reality, purchase plush toys crafted in the form of ‘Buster’ and his friends–10% of the selling price goes to The Wildlife Trusts–and educational resources that teach children about the importance of caring for wildlife.
