Vibrant And Refreshing, The PANTONE 2017 Color Of The Year Is Inspired By Nature
By Dorothy Tan, 08 Dec 2016
PANTONE has just announced its 2017 Color of the Year—even before the new year rolls around, this bright, zesty shade has already been seen in interior design and on fashion runways.
Aptly and simply named, ‘Greenery’ is meant to represent rejuvenation, renewal and rebirth—inspired by early spring and lush foliage, it is both vibrant and versatile enough to be paired with a wide range of colors, from neutrals to metallics.
According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the PANTONE Color Institute, “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”
