D&AD’s Exciting New Identity Is An Explosion Of Colors, Textures And Shapes
By Yoon Sann Wong, 16 Mar 2017
D&AD, the global association for creative advertising and design awards, has unveiled its fresh visual identity for 2017 created by The Beautiful Meme.
It features a collection of dynamic visuals crafted from an explosion of colors, textures, and shapes. They represent the ever-changing nature of the creative industry.
“In advertising and design the D&AD pencil, the symbol of excellence, is ever-present. Around it the industry is weft and warp and flux. Nothing stays still and that’s as it should be. That’s what this year’s identity is about,” explained Ben Haworth, Creative Director at The Beautiful Meme.
This year’s D&AD Festival will run from 25 to 27 April in London. Find out more here and see the new visual identity below.
We’re excited to reveal our D&AD Festival 2017 #creative, courtesy of The Beautiful Meme. This year, the iconic D&AD Pencils are brought to life in animations, paying homage previous D&AD Professional Awards winning work and categories. A kaleidoscopic explosion of textures and shapes, the work represents the ever shifting nature of our category, thinking and work.
