The Ultimate Ruler For Creative People Bridges The Physical And Digital Worlds
By Dorothy Tan, 17 Mar 2017
Whichever medium a designer works with, chances are that their ideas start on paper—and when they are sketching on paper, they use rulers a lot.
Based in Stockholm, Sweden, designers Jens Marklund and Axel Lindmarker has created the Lindlund Ruler to combine all the functions that creative people need in a ruler into one ultimate tool.
Made with designers in mind, the Lindlund is meant to be a bridge between the physical and digital worlds that allows one to switch seamlessly between the two—in addition to the standard centimetres and inches, the ruler also features measurements for picas (a typographic unit) and pixels.
It even has measurements indicating the size of an iPhone and iPad screen that lets you quickly draw them on paper to start working on.
With a rubber coating at the back to prevent slippage, it is also great for making perfect right angles easily—made of airplane-grade aluminum and precision-cut, the Lindlund is made to last.
Available in two colors, you can now pledge for it on Kickstarter—watch the video below to learn more about it.
