A whole lot actually. There are at least 20 Disney live action films scheduled for the next few years, including remakes, sequels and prequels.
We have Aladdin remake on the list, along with favorites such as The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
The most exciting movies in the pipeline may be the origin story spinoffs planned. If you ever wondered how The Genie got trapped in the lamp or what Tinkerbell does when she is not flitting around with Peter Pan in Neverland, you will find out soon.
Here are some of the live-action movies based on Disney classics that is planned to hit theaters in the near future:
Mulan, the remake, will elaborate on the original, based on the Chinese legend that saw her take her aging father's place in the army. They are currently looking for a Chinese actress to star in it.
Emily Blunt is starring as a nanny in the sequel titled Mary Poppins Returns, and it is due to screen on Christmas 2018. Guy Ritchie is directing the revamp of the original Aladdin, which was based on an old Arabic folktale. They are reportedly looking for a diverse cast and keeping it a musical.
