Why You Should Never Rush A Designer For Low Quality Work Just To Complete Tasks
By Yoon Sann Wong, 20 Mar 2017
UX designer, researcher and strategist Anish Nangia sums up three good reasons why clients should cease rushing their designers for low quality work just to get stuff out the door.
His infographic was inspired by a tweet recently posted by fellow UX designer Jonathan Shariat. The latter addresses this common occurrence in the industry via his online note, which got Nangia thinking: “When did this become a norm? And do people realize what is the cost of bad design?”
Perhaps many are aware of the price, but due to short-term gains and stress, excellent design ends up being given the boot.
Hopefully Nangia’s infographic will help more clients understand that in the long term, aspiring for bad design definitely doesn’t pay off. After all, you’d never say to a developer:
“I need this out in two days, can you write some shitty code and just get it done?”
