NBC Cable Channel’s Bright New Logo, Branding Identity Is Designed To Dance

Launched in 2015, NBC Universo is a NBCUniversal cable channel that caters to the Latin and Spanish-speaking audience—it offers a diverse mix of programs, including original productions, mainstream series and blockbuster movies.
Recently, the channel unveiled a new logo and visual identity that is designed by New York-based studio Trollbäck+Company—while NBC’s iconic peacock remains, its rainbow color palette has been replaced by a less colorful but brighter alternative.
The new logo is now rendered in a single color—either black against a brightly colored background or brightly colored against a dark background. The overall effect is one that makes the logo stand out visually.
The new branding also includes a catchy on-air package, which features fragmented bits of the logo, word mark and other text being applied as an interesting “typography dance” to the teasers of the various programs—you can watch it in the video below.
