Striking Wine Bottle Design Shows The Consequences Of Drinking Too Much

Y&R Russia has created a wine bottle that promotes a strong message about responsible drinking.
The pictures on the bottle is only revealed as the wine level goes down, and it has been created to tackle excessive alcohol consumption in Russia.
This striking new campaign called ‘Don’t Reach the Bottom’ is backed by Russia’s biggest wine distributor, Simple Wine. These wine bottles display images showing what excessive drinking can lead to as the wine is gradually poured out.
The agency has designed a series of 1,000 special wine bottles, each featuring one of three different cartoon designs. For example, one bottle shows a couple sipping a drink before depicting a drink-driving accident.
Because Russians dislike being lectured about drinking, this campaign differs from the usual shock tactics the government used previously. This campaign hopes to engage drinkers instead of making them agitated.
