Designer Cheekily Updates Dieter Rams’ ‘10 Principles For Good Design’ For 2017

What is good design? While most might find this hard to quantify, for German industrial designer Dieter Rams, the answer came in the form of 10 principles.
New York-based German designer Tobias Van Schneider, formerly Art Director and Design Lead at Spotify, decided a few days ago that it was time to give Rams’ ‘10 Principles For Good Design’ a 2017 upgrade. He came up with a tongue-in-cheek edited version titled ‘2017 Tech Industry Edition’ that reflects the state of things today.
Two days after uploading the initial post, he followed up with the amusing tweet, “I’m a little concerned about how many people thought I was serious with this and took it as real advice.”
