Bright, Modern Packaging For The Dwell Magazine X Target Classy Home Collection

We featured the sophisticated and contemporary Dwell Magazine X Target home collection last year—now, we would like to bring the spotlight onto the collection’s equally outstanding packaging design.
Created by designers Jules Tardy and Leo Porto of branding studio Collins, the packaging for the 120 products in the range beautifully reflect the spirit of the collaboration, which is inspired by a deep respect for American modernism and functional design.
The minimal but eye-catching design uses a bright yellow as an attention-grabbing accent. Half the package is dominated by a block of this bold color—the area is printed with the name of the collection, ‘Modern’, and other details about the product—while the other half features a simple, elegant photo of the product.
The cardboard boxes are designed to cleverly reveal parts of the products through cut-out panels, without compromising on the protective function of the packaging.
