NSFW Series Makes Special Toys To Occupy Children While Parents Watch The Show
By Yoon Sann Wong, 21 Apr 2017
If you think Game of Thrones is too explicit, French television show Versailles, which covers the exploits–and sexploits–of King Louis XIV, will give GoT a run for its money.
In a lead up to the show’s second season, network Canal+ teamed up with agency BETC Paris to run a campaign that would address the prickly problem of children in the room when adults tuned in to catch the show.
To keep the young ones occupied, BETC made ‘Versailles for Kids’, comprising a mobile app and collection of toys, which can be won with each episode.
For instance, episode one might win you the gardening kit, episode two–the board game, and on another–the king’s costume kit, complete with royal seal and wax.
The campaign launched earlier this year to build prurient anticipation for season two, which debuts on 27 March and runs through to 24 April.
