You probably don’t have to take a test to already know that you’re sleep deprived—but if you ever need an excuse to sneak in an afternoon nap, here’s one: the ‘sleep onset latency’ test. It’s for health reasons and science.
BBC presenter Michael Morsley has shared a useful trick that lets you test if you need more sleep in the comfort of your own bed—and all it requires is a spoon, watch, and metal tray.
