LOL: The Internet Jokes About Clueless Skin Centre Using ‘Resident Evil’ Logo
By Izza Sofia, 12 Jun 2017
A skin centre in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam just made a pretty big mistake when it came to branding its center, with a logo that is all too familiar to video game fans.
A Reddit user gentlemansincebirth pointed out the logo being used by the Medcare Skin Centre, which is accompanied by the tagline, “Our mission: your satisfaction”. However, there is a small problem.
As you can see from the photo, it is using a logo that symbolizes the Umbrella Corporation from the Resident Evil franchise, a company that is obsessed with creating zombies.
Naturally, jokes flew across the internet upon the discovery of the mistake. Medcare Skin Centre has taken to its Facebook page to apologize.
“We are very sorry the situation has occurred and is working internally to find the best solution quickly”, the skin clinic wrote in its official statement. “Our team is highly specialised in taking care of skin conditions for our clients and logo design is completely out of our specialty and was consulted and completed for us by a hired third-party”.
“We understand the urgency of the situation; and is working to quickly to provide appropriate answer to our clients, partners, community and to the movie and game producers and copyright holders of the artwork”, they added.
It's happening. Umbrella Corporation has set up their first public base of operations in Vietnam, as a skincare facility. Our spies managed to infiltrate the facility and took this photo. #vietnam #umbrella #umbrellacorp #medcarevietnam #medcare #skincare #residentevil #tvirus #outbreak #zombie #zombies #geek #geekculture
