Delicate, Lace-Like Paper-Cut Illustrations Featuring Cathedrals, Birds, Flowers
By Kylie Woon, 26 Jun 2017
The hand-cut paper art of Pippa Dyrlaga is as delicate as lace, but feature bold subjects ranging from flora and fauna, to the Millennium Falcon.
Inspired by pop culture, architecture, but most importantly by the scenery of West Yorkshire—where the artist is from—Pippa began creating paper-cut illustrations while studying for her MA in art, design and curation. To her, the process is just as important as the outcome.
Since then, her delicate paper-cuts have become her career, and she continues to create lovely birds, flowers, and buildings out of paper.
Take a look at her work below, and follow the artist on Facebook and Instagram for more.
