It’s been a long week for the folks at Google. The firm has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons; an employee’s ‘Anti-Diversity Manifesto’ had gone awfully viral, spurring the public to suspect Google’s outwardly pristine company culture. Following that, the company has fired the engineer responsible for the 10-page text.
Now, it looks like there’s still hope for ex-employee James Damore’s career path. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has extended a hand to the engineer, blaspheming Google for firing him and then offering Damore a job at the whistleblowing platform.
“Censorship is for losers, Assange claims at the start of a five-tweet rant. “WikiLeaks is offering a job to fired Google engineer James Damore.”
Assange applauded Damore for “politely expressing ideas” about women’s alleged tendency to perform worse due to “innate dispositional differences.”
Currently, the WikiLeaks chief remains detained, under asylum, in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for breaching bail to avoid being prosecuted over allegations of rape and sexual assault in 2010.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai maintains that Damore had violated the company’s code of conduct and “crossed the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.”

Engineer: The job is lonely & stressful. Maybe women don't like it
Google: You're fired
